RU Option 1 (Payments & Adjustments)

How the payments and adjustments work

• If you want to take charges off the account you post a positive $$ payment or adjustment
  • example - You receive a payment for $50.00 and you want to post the full amount to the customer account.
    
    (Doing this will reduce the customer balance by $50.00)

• If you want to add charges to an account you post a negative $$ payment or adjustment
  • example - the account is $0.00 but you have a returned check for $50.00. You would post a 50.00- (negative) dollar amount to the account to add the $50.00 back onto his/her current charges.
    
    (Doing this will add a $50.00 charge onto the account)
