from Home Using an AS/400 Terminal Emulator
Downloading and Installing Mocha W32 TN5250 Terminal Emulator
Mocha W32 TN5250 is shareware and can be downloaded from the TUCOWS web site.
Please submit the appropriate fee. Remember, the Web is a dynamic environment.
Web sites are frequently changed. These directions were perfect at one time but
you may have to use your genius to adapt these directions to accommodate any
changes the web master makes to the tucows web site. Thanks for being

- Downloading: Use a web browser to access "tucows" web site: http://tucows.com
- In the SEARCH SOFTWARE LIBRARY text box, type: Mocha W32 TN5250
- Several entries for Mocha will be displayed. On the Web site click
DOWNLOAD NOW for the Mocha W32 TN5250 program that is compatible with your
operating system.
- When the program is downloaded, you will receive a message window named
DOWNLOAD COMPLETE.
- Click the RUN button in the window.
- The WIN ZIP Self-Extractor Window appears. Click the SETUP button. From
this point forward, follow the directions in the windows. Accept the defaults
in each window.
Installation completed
- After installing the program, a program entry should be created in your
Program Menu.
- You could also create a shortcut on your desktop to run the application.
Running Mocha W32 TN5250
Important Note: To run this application, you have to be connected to the
Internet through your ISP.
- Launch Mocha W32 by selecting it from the Program Menu or by double
clicking on the shortcut on the desktop.
- Click on the File Menu.
- Select the "Connect" option.
- Enter GCIBM2.GC.MARICOPA.EDU
- You can make it the default host by selecting the corresponding option.
- Press enter and you should be able to login to your AS/400 user account.
You MAY need to make a few changes to the key mapping in Mocha.

After clicking on Keyboard Layout, this screen should be displayed.

Go to the next screen shot for directions on changing the PC keys to 5250
keys.
- Drag the scroll bar until you can select the PC key RETURN. Click on
RETURN. (If a single click doesn't highlight the key,
then you may need to double click to select the key you wish to work with.)
- Observe what the Current 5250 Function is.
- Drag the scroll bar for New 5250 Function until you find FIELD EXIT.
Double click FIELD EXIT to make FIELD EXIT the Current 5250 Function for the
PC RETURN key.
- Using the methods explained in Steps 1-3 above, set these PC keys to the
5250 keys indicated in the AS/400 Keys column. Click Help from the Define
Keyboard Layout Screen for a complete list. Be sure to scroll down.

- When all PC keys are correctly set for the 5250 keys, click
"Save to File."
These settings are saved and each time you launch MOCHA your keyboard will be
set up to respond as if you were using an AS/400 terminal.
