Windows CE .NET Thin ClientsCE.NET Printing
CE.NET Terminal Properties
Response from Ettore: The traffic on port 23 is outgoing traffic (from terminal to AS/400). Traffic on port 10000 is incoming traffic (from AS/400 to terminal). Our Windows CE and Linux based emulators use port >= 10000 for incoming traffic because our implementation of special auto reconnection feature (used after terminal power fail), require a fixed incoming port number for each display session. At each power on the display sessions must used same incoming port. The number 10000 is an arbitrary number I chose. I could choose any number between 1024 to 65535. Other emulator not implementing the special auto-reconnect feature, leave the operative system (windows XP, windows CE, Linux) to choose any available incoming port from 1024 to 65535. Back to TopHow do I restore a unit that has an OS prior to CE 5.0 Pro to factory defaults?
To
restore the registry of a unit that has an OS prior to CE 5.0 Pro to factory
default, you have to delete or edit the registry file saved on the DOM.
There are three options:
1) -
turn on the unit and during first stage of boot (Bos splash bitmap with
progress bar) press Ctrl+C to exit the boot program and go to the dos
prompt. The text color is black so you cannot see what you are typing.
-
type cd docume~1
-
type echo a > system.hv
-
reboot the terminal
2) - boot the device from an usb device with DOS
-
type d: or c: to point the DOM (with a bios version the DOM drive letter is
"d:" with other bios the DOM is "c:")
-
type cd docume~1
- type echo a > system.hv
- reboot the terminal
3) -
ftp to unit's IP Back to TopAre touch screens supported on the CE.NET units? Touch screens are supported on the WBT-350 but are supported on all other models. Back to TopWill my CE thin client's clock adjust itself automatically for Daylight Saving Time this year? Unfortunately it will not adjust automatically - we are currently working on a fix for this issue and it should be available very soon - keep checking back for the announcement of completion. There is a fix for the DST time for the 5.0 kernel and it can be found here: ftp://boswebcom.apollo.uplinkearth.com/WTC600/ 5.0.25 Call BOSaNOVA tech support at 866-864-5250 for the user ID and password. DO NOT INSTALL THIS ON THE OLDER KERNEL OR IT WILL CORRUPT THE DOM! Back to Top |
