Conversion Assistance

Please note IBS corporation uses outside vendors when converting from Triad, CSD, Dimension and other. It is not unusual for IBS to invoice two to three months after installation for this service, once we have received the vendor charges.

Acceptable Excel Conversion Files

Listed below are standard excel file formats (use these to copy or input your data)

Acceptable File Formats

  • Excel format with fields separated
  • *.csv format with fields separated
  • Lotus, Quattro pro file formats
  • Other file formats as requested

Unacceptable File Formats

  • Reports
  • Spreadsheets and/or reports with all data in a single field
  • Spreadsheets and/or reports with no standard format

2 Keys to IBS Data Conversion

  • We can easily convert files delivered to IBS in Excel or DB2 format if they are structured (each format field separated into its own column)
  • If the data is delivered in report format or not column separated in database format we will pre-load that information on an hourly data entry rate.
  • Example of report format below. In this example only the report information is delivered. This is not an acceptable format!

Read the following guidelines before starting

  • DO NOT leave blank rows between entries.
  • Required fields are highlighted in yellow.
  • Highly recommended but not required fields are highlighted in green.
  • Field definitions are displayed in turquoise (use these as a reference).
  • Use decimals in all price & cost fields whenever you want to indicate cents.
  • DO NOT USE ANY " - " hyphens or " () " parenthesis in your fields.
  • Call if you have ANY questions.
  • Using different or custom formats can increase labor related expenses for your conversion.
