Bandwidth Tests
Slow System connection over the internet for offsite users
- What is the telnet connection speed coming in from the outside?
- Fast?
- is the problem local to only one user or workstation
- Acceptable?
- is the problem local to only one user or workstation
- Slow or very slow?
- is there a problem at the user(s) end? How does his other
internet connections flow?
- is someone at the host or end user site using Kazaa, Morpheous,
Limewire, Bittorrent or another filesharing program
- does one (or more) pc's at either host or user site have a virus
- have they added any new network equipment
- is there a hub, ethernet card or other network feedback failure
- Can't connect?
- is Tcp working at the host site
- can anyone else access from outside network
- is the modem, hub, firewall, etc. turned off at the remote site
- What is the connection speed going out?
- Fast?
- can users at the host site access the internet

- can users at the host site access the internet
- Slow or very slow?
- is there a problem at the user(s) end? How does his other

- does the router have power
- is the router connected via cable to the hub/switch

- has there been any changes to your network since it went down
