IBS Escape Key Menu

Most Common Commands

  • WRKACTJOB - work with active jobs
  • WRKCFGSTS - work with configuration status
    • *DEV - devices
    • *LIN - lines
    • *CTL - controllers
  • WRKJOBQ QBATCH - work with job queues
  • WRKOUTQ - work with output queue
    • P1-P0
    • PA-PZ
  • WRKSPLF - work with spool files
  • WRKWTR - work with writers
    • *ALL

Escape Key Menu Version 4

  • This is the current IBS Escape Key menu
  • Options 1-9 are WRKOUTQ P[1-9] (i.e. work with output queue P?)
  • Option 10 is WRKOUTQ P* (i.e. work with all output queues)
  • Option 12 displays all user spool files WRKSPLF
  • Option 13 displays all spool files WRKSPLF *ALL
  • Option 14 shows invoices and delivery tickets (not cash receipts)
  • Option 15 shows all standard reports
  • Option 16 shows all print writers on the system WRKWTR
  • Option 17 starts printer writers STRPRTWTR P[?]
  • Option 18 shows all active jobs WRKACTJOB
  • Option 19 shows the system configuration status WRKCFGSTS *DEV
  • Option 20 shows the jobs on the job queue WRKJOBQ QBATCH
  • Option 21 varies on or off workstations VRYCFG *ON or VRYCFG *OFF
  • Option 22 sends an interrupt message to other users
  • Option 23 displays any messages on the user message queue DSPMSG
  • Option 50 permits the user to change a password
  • F12 cancels to the previous screen

  • This is the IBM default Escape key menu shipped with every server
  • This menu is normally replaced by an IBS escape key menu.
