Front Counter (Miller's Example Full Counter)

  • 2 Affirmative Thin Clients
  • 1 Lexmark printer (on right)
    This printer runs off a print controller (under counter)
    paper is fed through a hole cut in the counter
  • 1 cash receipt printer (beside left workstation)
    This printer runs off a print controller (under counter)
  • 2 17" LCD Monitors
  • 2 Print controllers (both under counter)
  • 2 scanners (1 per workstation)
  • 2 mice (1 per workstation)
  • 2 keyboards (1 per workstation)
  • 1

Print Controller (Usually Hidden under counter)

  • IBM 3488
  • This type of setup is not common.  Most operations no longer use print controllers.

  • May or may not be regularly used
