iSeries Access for Linux

iSeries Access for Linux is the latest offering in the iSeries Access product line. iSeries Access for Linux allows you to access the DB2 Universal Database® (UDB) for iSeries using its ODBC Driver and to establish a 5250 session to an iSeries server from a Linux client.

Highlights:

  • iSeries Access for Linux is available for both Intel and Power PC or an iSeries server logical partition (LPAR) platforms.
  • iSeries Access for Linux works with iSeries servers with V5R1 and later OS/400 and i5/OS.
  • iSeries Access for Linux 5250 emulation works with Linux Terminal Server Project (LTSP) and Virtual Network Computing (VNC) via new -STAND_ALONE command line option.
  • Extended Dynamic Remote SQL (EDRS) for Power PC
