IBM 5250 Software Emulation
5250 terminal emulator

The 5250 terminal emulator is a management window that runs on the
Hardware Management Console (HMC), Operations Console, and the twinaxial
console for System i™ systems.
You can enter control language (CL) commands on the 5250 terminal emulator
command line to run commands. You can also use the character-based interface
to find information about workloads that run on i5/OS® partitions. The 5250
terminal emulator is integrated with the twinaxial console, and it runs as a
terminal emulator on the HMC and Operations Console. The 5250 terminal
emulator can also run on a proxy server on the HMC for remote system
administration.

*Please note that this section only applies to Business PC’s for use with the
IBM AS/400
If the Emulation Card is for a Win95/98 machine...
● If you purchased the Card from IBS call IBS Lumber Software Inc (812) 288-7876.
● If you purchased the Card from another vendor call the Vendor or Original
Manufacturer.
If the Emulation Card is for a Dos/Windows 3.1 or 3.11 Machine...
● IBS Technical support for Dos/Windows 3x machines ended 31 December 1998.
After that date limited or no support will be offered for the PC System(s). If
you are still using Windows 3.11 or Dos PCs we recommend you upgrade to
Win95/98. |
