There are 3 methods to update your time & date every year.  Select the method most convenient for your business.

All systems all versions - command line change

Change system time

  • go to a command line and type 'WRKSYSVAL QTIME'
  • select option '2' (Change) then press ENTER.
  • type in the new value then press ENTER.

Change system date

  • go to a command line and type 'WRKSYSVAL QDATE'
  • select option '2' (Change) then press ENTER.
  • type in the new value then press ENTER.

All systems running IBS software version v9r2m6e or higher

  • go to menu 'MU' (Management Update)
  • select option '6' (to change system time) and/or '7' (to change system date).
  • type a '2' (Change) to change the current value to the new value.
