Another common message is Press Ready, Start/Stop on printer.

☞ If this message appears check to see if one Green light is off or blinking.

☞ Correct this by pressing the green (Start/Stop or Ready) button. Once you see TWO green lights (i.e. Power & Ready) you are ready to print.

☞ Next, press the ENTER key to continue to the previous menu.

5. Exit the Work with Output Queue menu by pressing the Cmd3 (Exit) key. You will be returned to your previous menu.
How to print part of a Spool File

☞ Periodically you may need to print part of a large document or spool file. You can only do this if the spool file is still in the output queue (i.e., it was saved after printing or has not yet printed). To print part of a spool file:

1. WRKOUTQ P[printer ID].

2. Select Option “2” (Change) the spool file and press ENTER.

3. Press the Cmd10 (More Options) key.

4. Scroll down one page (Shift + Up Arrow on Terminals or Page Down on PCS) to the PAGERANGE parameter.

Key the number of the first page you want to print in the START PAGE field and the last page you want to print in the ENDING PAGE field.

4. Select SAVE(*YES) to save the spooled file. Otherwise, it is lost after it finishes printing. If it hasn’t finished printing, then you can still select SAVE(*YES) for any Spool file that is currently writing or held.

5. Press the ENTER key. The spool file will reprint, beginning and ending with the page number(s) you indicated.
