2400 Baud modem

• The 5853 Modem is a standalone unit transmitting data, on the Public Switched Telephone Network (PSTN) in full duplex mode, at the data rate of 0 to 300 bps in asynchronous mode and at the data rate of 1200 and 2400 bps in synchronous and asynchronous mode.
• Automatic dialing can be controlled from the Data Terminal Equipment (DTE) via either the IBM, the Attention or the V.25 bis command sets.
• Compatibility with an 801-type autocall unit is also provided.
• This modem provides error checking and retransmission capability, using MNP** up to the level 3.
